The "Soul" Approach
Sometimes our soul needs refreshing. The anxious soul, the depressed soul, the inquisitive soul, the concerned soul, the scared soul, the hurting soul, the grateful soul, and even the joyful soul can benefit from therapy.
When our soul is refreshed we see the world differently. Our attitudes change, we become more alive, and we live each day in perfect harmony with the universe. We are inspired to be better, to use our strength on our challenging days, and be at peace in the moment.
I primarily use a cognitive behavioral therapy approach to guide the work that I do with clients. Cognitive behavioral therapy is an intervention that psychologists use to focus on challenging and changing unhelpful thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes while improving emotional regulation and developing coping strategies to help with problems. This type of therapy has been researched and shown to be effective in treating various types of psychological concerns, and I believe that it is "refreshing for the soul."
